Grandmama's House offers many programs of enrollment to meet the needs of each family. Grandmama's House has been opened offering 3 star quality care for Clarksville residents since 2002.
Maintain the safety of swimmers at Grandmama's House of Preschool and Child Development. Respond to emergencies using rescue procedures. Enforce rules, observe weather and water conditions and intervene if there is rough or dangerous play. Small swimming environment, groups no larger than 14. Monday-Friday, 8 am - 3 pm.
- Assist in the implementation of curricula activities and encourage participation by children.
- Actively engage in activities; manage cleanliness, maintenance, and availability of classroom materials.
- Maintain frequent communications with parents through informal discussions and progress reports.
- Encourage self-help and good hygiene through behavior modeling.
- Help ensure smooth, daily transition from home to child care center.
Duties
- Ensure all center policies and state regulations are met
- Maintain accurate records
- Opening and closing the pool each day according to scheduled hours
- Regularly treat the pool with the correct amount of chemicals
- Explaining and enforcing rules, regulations, and policies to ensure the safety of children
- Monitoring designated areas to recognize signs of danger
- Warning swimmers regarding unsafe situations
- Test and receive a current water safety instruction and lifeguarding certification (paid for by Grandmama's House if not already completed)
- Must be at least 16 years or older
- High energy and the ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment
- Must clear full background check and must pass health screening
- Lifeguarding or childcare experience
