The Director of Talent Acquisition is a strategic leader responsible for overseeing the organization's recruitment and staffing functions. This role involves developing and implementing innovative talent acquisition strategies, managing a high-performing recruiting team, and collaborating with senior leadership to ensure the organization attracts, hires, and retains top talent. The position plays a pivotal role in shaping the workforce to align with the company's long-term vision and goals.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning: Develop and execute a comprehensive talent acquisition strategy aligned with business objectives and workforce planning needs, including the creation of SOPs and process-related documents to ensure consistency, efficiency, and scalability.
- Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of recruitment professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Recruitment Operations: Manage full-cycle recruitment efforts for leadership, technical, and specialized roles, ensuring a seamless candidate experience.
- Metrics and Reporting: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of recruitment efforts, such as time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, and quality-of-hire.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Leverage metrics and analytics to evaluate recruiting performance, refine strategies, and provide actionable insights to leadership.
- Employer Branding: Strengthen Acquisition.com’s employer brand by driving initiatives that position us as an employer of choice, including branding campaigns, partnerships, and community engagement. Utilizing our company platforms such as Linkedin, Glassdoor, etc to drive inbound demand.
- Training and Development: Develop training for people managers and Portfolio company CEOs on interviewing, hiring, and candidate evaluation.
- Own and Optimize the Applicant Tracking System (ATS): Take full ownership of the ATS, ensuring it is effectively utilized to manage candidate pipelines, enhance recruitment workflows, and provide actionable insights through robust reporting capabilities.
- Strategic Partner for Portfolio Companies: Develop and deliver tailored talent acquisition strategies for our portfolio companies, helping them scale their teams with top talent aligned to their growth goals and organizational cultures by acting as a mentor.
- Recruiting Expertise for Workshops: Act as a subject matter expert in Acquisition.com workshops, sharing innovative strategies, best practices, and thought leadership in talent acquisition to inspire and educate participants.
- Streamlined Recruitment Processes: Reduced time-to-fill for key roles through efficient processes and robust talent pipelines.
- Enhanced Applicant Tracking System: Improved the ATS to reduce time-to-hire by 20% through optimized workflows and better utilization. Built robust reporting to track key metrics, increased hiring manager satisfaction through streamlined processes, created a question bank for structured interviews, and optimized interview feedback for faster, more accurate evaluations.
- Built Scalable Hiring Processes: Designed and implemented scalable recruiting processes that supported a 50% year-over-year headcount growth. Standardized workflows for sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding across hybrid, remote, and in-person teams, ensuring consistency and compliance.
- Enhanced Employer Brand: Increased employer visibility and strengthened reputation as a desirable workplace.
- Talent Retention: Improved quality-of-hire, evidenced by new hire retention and performance metrics.
- Data-Driven Recruitment: Regular reporting of actionable insights and KPIs to refine strategies and improve ROI.
- People Manager Skillset: Create training for our people managers so that they are empowered to make the right hiring decisions as well as make the hiring process easier and faster.
- Candidate experience is consistently improved
- Bachelor’s degree in an applicable field. Graduate degrees are a plus.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive recruiting experience in-house and agency, with 2-3 years of leadership experience leading talent acquisition teams.
- Proven track record in recruiting for diverse, technical, and executive roles across various industries.
- High Level knowledge of current employment laws and practices
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
- Expertise in modern recruitment tools, techniques, and analytics.
- Strategic thinker with hands-on experience in recruitment operations.
- Knowledge of employment laws and compliance requirements
- Excellent judgement related to acquiring talent and determining fit as well as raw talent for the role
