Job Summary
We are seeking a full-time, Acquisition Management Policy Support Specialist to support the Department of Justice in a remote position. There is no security clearance requirement; however, the client should live in the Eastern Time Zone for ease of communication with stakeholders. There is no travel requirement.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Develops and Updates DOJ Policy Statements, Policy Instructions, and Acquisition Policy Notices.
    • Analyze new/existing government-wide acquisition regulations, policies, and guidance.
    • Review, Provide Recommendations, and Update acquisition policy and procedures for the Justice Acquisition Regulation, Justice Acquisition Manual, and Acquisition Programs and Policy Oversight Instructions.
  • Develops and Updates Acquisition-Related Plans, Strategies, and Policy Documents.
    • Utilizes MS Office Suite of tools to develop and update acquisition Documentation and Guides.
  • Facilitates Routine Reviews of Program Policies and Procedures.
    • Communicates Major Acquisition Review Council (MARC) review of select DOJ requirements.
  • Collects Data and Information and Prepares Materials for Program and Policy Activities, Committees, Councils, Reviews, and Working Groups.
    • MARC review content and workgroup projects.
    • IT Acquisition Review Board meeting content and follow-up.
  • Prepares and Reviews Quarterly, Annual, and Ad-hoc Reports and Updates.
    • Compliance with DOJ Benchmarking Data.
    • Compliance with DOJ Forecasting Data.
    • Review Data in government-wide systems to support external reporting initiatives.
  • Assists with Responding to Inquiries, Conducting Research, and Collecting Data.
    • Monitor PPG Mailboxes and Manage PPG Inquiries and Questions from bureaus.
  • Provides Support and Recommended Updates to PPG Intranet Site and DOJ Hub on Acquisition Gateway.

Qualifications and Skills
  • Communicating clearly and concisely with a diverse group of individuals (e.g., SMEs), both in writing and verbally, using a variety of technology tools (e.g., MS Office, MS SharePoint, Power BI, Google).
  • Analyzing and interpreting data in a strategic way to identify patterns, make recommendations, and propose solutions to complex and challenging problems.
  • Adaptability to collaborate on workgroups of diverse skillsets to support common goals and objectives.
  • Managing time to meet deadlines effectively in a constantly changing environment. 
  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in acquisition management and/or support with focus on policy writing, policy review, and research and data collection.
