The Waxer Operator efficiently sets-up and operates waxer equipment in accordance with manufacturing order (MO), Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) and the production schedule. Compliance with company operating, safety and housekeeping procedures, practices and policies.
What You’ll Need To Be Successful
Compensation Range: $20.00 - $22.00 hourly. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position. ACR reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. The Waxer Operator efficiently sets-up and operates waxer equipment in accordance with manufacturing order (MO), Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) and the production schedule. Compliance with company operating, safety and housekeeping procedures, practices and policies.
What You’ll Need To Be Successful
- High school or trade school graduate or equivalent GED. Basic reading and mathematics skills.
- Able to read and understand documents, to include (but not limited to) manufacturing orders (MO), job hazard analysis (JHA) and quality alerts.
- Operate Printing/Wax Equipment Set-up, operate, and adjust printing and/or wax coating equipment to a manufacturing order (MO), Standard Operating Conditions (SOC), and to production schedule requirements.
- Inspect for Quality Inspect/test product for basis weight, appearance, print quality, color match, and other requirements to ensure products meet customer quality specifications.
- Understand Production and Safety Requirements Understand and interpret production requirements by manufacturing order (MO) as well as written and verbal instructions. Understand safety requirements outlined in monthly safety reviews as well as outlined in the Job Hazard Analysis (JHA).
- Calculations Preform routine calculations to determine the amount of wax and ink required for manufacturing order (MO).
- Maintains Inventory Performs routine cycle counts of ink and wax and notifies supervisor of major discrepancies.
- Perform Production Maintenance Preforms routine production maintenance activities such as filling wax tanks, filling ink fountains, determining supplies required, and utilizing measuring devices for various activities.
- Organize Work Area Organizes work area in a clean and efficient manner to preform processes according to established standards, productivity levels, housekeeping, and safety requirements.
- Troubleshooting Inform supervisor of operating deviations or mechanical problems when they occur.
- Additional Duties Preforms additional duties as required by supervisor and management team.
