What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Vice President, Sustainability position at Acre?
Acre is proud to partner with a leading real estate development firm in their search for a sustainability executive to operationalize sustainability across the firm's life sciences and healthcare developments.
In this role, you'll drive excellence in collaboration with regional and corporate technical teams and develop mutually beneficial programs in collaboration with their tenants' sustainability leaders.
Ideal candidates for the role will have experience with corporate sustainability programs as well as energy-efficient and sustainable building design.
Responsibilities include:
- Overseeing renewable electricity strategy
- Reducing operational GHG emissions
- Collaborate with tenants to drive positive sustainability outcomes
- Represent the organization at industry events
- Leading regional reporting
- Managing the regional PPA
- Contributing to corporate sustainability and ESG goals at the portfolio level
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, building design, building operations, or similar level of training and experience
- 8 years of experience implementing real estate energy efficiency and sustainability programs
- Renewable energy procurement experience
- Industry engagement and thought leadership experience
- Exposure to healthcare and life sciences corporate sustainability programs
