At Acres of Diamonds, we are champions for moms and kids moving out of homelessness. We are a relational Christian ministry dedicated to helping moms rewrite their stories for lasting change for themselves and generations to come.
Our work is to come alongside each mom and her children and help them heal and grow. Our non-traditional community-based housing model is designed to help moms and kids feel safe in a place they can call home. We include counseling, case management, relationship skills, employment support, parenting classes, budgeting, and much more. We work closely with each family to develop a program custom tailored to their needs to maximize their success.
Position Summary : The Human Resources Generalist will perform the day-to-day functions of the Human Resources (HR) department including talent acquisition, administering benefits and leave, performance management, collaborating on payroll, and managing and enforcing company policies and practices. The HR Generalist works as the sole on-site employee interface for Acres staff navigating our outsourced HR PEO, Insperity.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Conducts end-to-end Talent Acquisition including job description development, recruitment, interviews and screening, compensation, and integration of new hires.
- Implements employee recognition, total compensation, performance management, and learning and development.
- Ensures compliance with mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments, professional licensure, and exams and certifications.
- Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resources programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
- Supports and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Maintains compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, as well as recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices as required to maintain compliance.
- Maintains current knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education / Experience : Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or four or more years related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Certification in Human Resources preferred.
Language Ability : Read and interpret documents in English such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Write routine reports and correspondence. Speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
Mathematical Ability : Add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Compute rate, ratio and percent, and draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability : Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills : Proficient in MS Office Suite
Certificates and Licenses : SHRM-CP certification preferred.
