About AcreTrader And Acres
Acres is a map-based land intelligence platform designed to bring transparency to America’s largest asset–land. Using public and private market data, Acres aggregates and analyzes over 150 million parcels of land to enable users to better understand and value land with confidence. By providing access to a comprehensive and more accurate compilation of land data, comparable sales, and parcel-level insights, Acres supports fast, informed decision making. AcreTrader is a real estate investing platform that makes it easy to buy shares of farmland and earn passive income. United States farmland has historically outperformed most asset classes and other forms of real estate. Unfortunately, buying and maintaining farmland directly is extremely difficult without local knowledge and management, as well as large investment commitments. AcreTrader solves these issues by providing transparency, flexibility, and ease of use to people wanting to invest in farmland while handling all aspects of administration and property management, from insurance and accounting to working with local farmers and improving soil sustainability. At the same time, AcreTrader works to help farmers scale through innovative sales and leasing opportunities.
We are dedicated to the growth of our platform and the growth of our people. We're looking for high performers who go about their work with a sense of curiosity, responsibility, and a drive to make things better.
At AcreTrader, our mission is to empower our customers to buy and sell land smarter with advanced technology, data, and expertise. We know that goal can only be realized by building and maintaining the most talented, engaged, and empowered team. We are searching for a motivated Corporate FP&A Intern to join our team for an internship position starting in the late-spring semester & running through the summer.
As a part of the AcreTrader team, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference. Because we take our time finding and hiring the best talent across all industries, you will be given quick trust and ownership of projects that ignite your passion. We believe when every person on the team is equally as passionate about the work that is in front of them, that is when real growth happens. We hire people who buck boredom, embrace change, and are always searching for innovative ways to solve complex problems.
Working with the Finance & Accounting teams, the FP&A Intern will have the opportunity to get hands-on experience collaborating cross-functionally with Sales, Operations & Marketing while building out impactful financial reports. This role will be responsible for assisting with month-end close and reporting, variance analysis, as well as creating weekly scorecards for the business.
This is an opportunity for a collaborative and communicative candidate with a passion for learning to develop their skills alongside a dynamic team. The ideal candidate has a genuine interest and curiosity in agriculture, finance, and technology, and is ready to hit the ground running in a fast-paced high-growth environment.
Core Responsibilities
Be inspired by our vision of making buying and selling land common, transparent, and easy, and deem yourself to be a lifelong learner. We have very high expectations for ourselves, each other, and every new team member. We’re looking for high performers who go about their work with a sense of curiosity and a drive to make things better.
We are dedicated to the growth of our platform, the growth of our people, and the growth of our individual and collective intellectual curiosity. In an effort to best support our interns, (among other benefits) we offer compensation as well as an opportunity for course credit for your work. Studies have shown that candidates from underrepresented backgrounds often do not apply for roles if all key competencies are not met. AcreTrader is an equal opportunity employer and recognizes that diverse teams are the strongest teams. We encourage interested individuals of all backgrounds to apply.
We’re so excited to hear what excites you.
