Job Summary:
The Commercial Lines Senior Account Manager (CLCSM) is responsible for aiding clients with their insurance service needs by advising and acting as insurance consultants, working closely with the client’s Producer. The CLCSM also assists clients with making policy changes, payments, and requoting policies. Specific service and marketing responsibilities are required in this position. This position must meet service and/or sales delivery standards and perform essential functions to the quality developed by the agency.
Job Functions, Unique Duties and Responsibilities:
Works directly with client’s Producer to develop a marketing strategy for new and renewal business that meets the client’s needs and exposure.
Works directly with Client’s to obtain underwriting information required.
Serves as an insurance advisor and consultant to the agency’s clients by assisting them with making coverage changes and/or adding necessary coverages; accordingly, uses each contact with the client as an opportunity to review the whole account, round it and market.
Informs and educates clients about policy coverages, changes, exclusions, and insurance coverage needs.
Establish rapport with Underwriters to present, negotiate and secure competitive and comprehensive quotes with coverage specific to the client’s exposures.
Have in depth knowledge of coverage on all commercial lines of business and coverage forms; have knowledge of rating rules and limitations.
Be familiar with the agency’s contracted carrier’s appetite and underwriting guidelines.
Able to navigate numerous company websites for quoting various lines of business online and making online changes.
Prepares summaries of insurance, schedules, quotes and proposals.
Prepares all applications and required documents for signing.
Bind coverages and changes with carriers/brokers.
Review all binders to confirm coverage bound accurately reflects coverage ordered.
Verifies policy and endorsement information, facilitating corrections when necessary.
Works directly with clients to answer incoming calls/questions on coverage, changes and billings; takes and reports claims to carriers.
Issues Certificates of Insurance, Evidence of Property Insurance, Auto Insurance ID Cards to evidence coverages.
Verifies accuracy of direct bill cancellations and takes appropriate corrective action when needed.
Processes and follows up on other cancellation requests to carriers to ensure accurate and timely resolution.
Uses agency credit and collection policy in invoicing and pursuing prompt payments.
Maintains and updates electronic and client activity files.
Provides other technical support to Producer to benefit clients and to reach agency’s strategic business goals.
Assists or completes other tasks as directed by agency management.

Maintains up to date technical knowledge and understands how to perform technical tasks to expedite client service.
Education/Experience Requirements:
10 years experience in Commercial Lines with complex accounts
Must have a valid 2-20 Florida license.
Some college education is preferred
Insurance designations preferred
Ability to use computer, calculator, agency automation system and proficiency in programs, including but not limited to Microsoft Word and Excel.
Ability to understand and communicate both in writing and orally with others.
Must be a team player and customer service oriented.
Ability to perform repetitious tasks with high attention to detail.
