The Internal Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing and improving internal processes related to financial operations, billing, system management, and cross-department coordination. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. This role requires an understanding of department-specific challenges and the ability to implement solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
The Internal Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing and improving internal processes related to financial operations, billing, system management, and cross-department coordination. This role requires an understanding of department-specific challenges and the ability to implement solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze AR/AP spreadsheets.
- Manage high-volume internal emails, particularly with billing partners, to ensure seamless communication.
- Identify and correct discrepancies in invoices, policies, and financial records.
- Troubleshoot rating platform issues/errors.
- Handle billing type changes, ensuring cancellations and policy adjustments are processed correctly.
- Work with direct bill vendors on process improvement and troubleshooting.
- Oversee manual invoice creation
- Maintain and update records in IMS, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Investigate and resolve balance discrepancies related to commissions, misapplied funds, and missing credits.
- Collaborate with IT to improve system processes and address operational challenges.
- Manage refund requests and work with carrier statements to ensure timely payments.
- Provide guidance to team members on unique operational challenges, explaining root causes and solutions.
- Attend meetings and provide insights on improving internal processes and financial operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or a related field preferred.
- 5 years of experience in insurance operations, financial management, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills, multitasking ability, and attention to detail.
- Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies in financial and policy-related data.
- Excellent communication skills, with experience handling high volumes of internal correspondence.
- Proficiency in agency management systems, billing platforms, and process automation tools.
- Experience collaborating with IT teams on system improvements and issue resolution.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
