Are you passionate about creating innovative learning experiences that drive real business results? We’re looking for a strategic and creative Instructional Designer to lead the development of impactful training programs that close skill gaps, enhance performance, and support organizational growth. This role also serves as the lead administrator for our Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring our learning platform runs smoothly and effectively.
What You’ll Do:
- Conduct in-depth training needs analyses and consult with SMEs to design tailored learning solutions.
- Design and develop instructor-led training (ILT), eLearning, job aids, assessments, and blended learning programs.
- Administer our LMS (Cornerstone OnDemand), including content management, user roles, and training reports.
- Evaluate learning programs using models like Kirkpatrick’s Four Levels to measure effectiveness and ROI.
- Utilize tools like Articulate, Captivate, and Camtasia to bring learning content to life.
- Manage multiple training projects, from planning and development to delivery and analysis.
- Create facilitator/participant guides, storyboards, and microlearning content.
What You Bring:
- 4 years of instructional design or technical writing experience (at least 3 years designing eLearning).
- 1 year of LMS administration (Cornerstone OnDemand preferred).
- Mastery of instructional design models (ADDIE, SAM) and evaluation methodologies.
- Experience developing learning in multiple formats (ILT, eLearning, microlearning).
- Strong skills in project management, communication, and stakeholder collaboration.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and eLearning/multimedia tools.
- Comfortable working in diverse settings—including technical environments like power plants or outdoor facilities.
Education & Certifications:
- Required: Associate’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, HR, or related field.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree certifications such as:
- Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP)
- Certified Instructional Designer/Developer (CIDD)
- Instructional Design Certificate (e.g., UC Irvine, UW)
- eLearning Development Certification (Articulate, Captivate)
- PMP or other project management credentials
