Job Description:
Position Summary:
The Material Planner is responsible for establishing and executing a set manufacturing plan for one or more programs. Ensures material is forecasted, ordered, and available on time to meet the build plan. The planner is responsible for releasing work to the manufacturing floor for build, maintains ship dates and customer commitments while working with other support staff to execute the plan. The planner must monitor cost, quality, and schedule of programs to meet the goals set by the business. Communication across multiple business functions is required -- business areas include but not limited to Finance, Program offices, Engineering, and Manufacturing.
Skills Required:
Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other operating systems. Strong communication and organizational skills. Strong understanding timelines and supply chain planning
Skills Preferred:
Oracle experience is a plus, Scheduling and MRP experience is a plus
Experience Required:
Understanding of Bill of Materials and MRP planning Ability to work in a fast paced, manufacturing environment with interactions across cross-functional disciplines. Ability to lift 30 lbs.
Education Required:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
Salary : $28 - $30
