Description :
ACRT Services offers expert independent consulting solutions to utilities and associated organizations throughout the United States, including vegetation management consulting, arborist training, customized safety courses, technology solutions, utility metering services, and more. This position will design, build, test, and support custom database software systems for ACRT. This position will be expected to work on database software projects from the planning stages through implementation and will create custom developed database solutions for the company’s employees and customers. The Database Developer will work with personnel in business units and in IT to identify requirements and help stakeholders envision how deliverables could be deployed. The Database Developer will work closely with other internal and external developers to maintain the portfolio of systems as well as new IT projects and initiatives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Develops database solutions by studying information needs; conferring with users; studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes determines design and requirements.
- Develop efficient and secure solutions which include appropriate tables, views, functions, or procedures.
- Develop and maintain ETL solutions.
- Design, develop and test software to meet requirements.
- Ensure that the software continues to function normally through software maintenance and monitoring.
- Document and demonstrate solutions by creating wireframes, specifications, documentation, and flowcharts, when appropriate.
- Protects the company by keeping systems and information confidential.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems
Advanced degree in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems
Experience requirements :
5 years’ experience in database development
