We are seeking a Project Development Engineer with 5 years of experience in the Energy Services industry (ESCO) , preferably with K-12 project experience. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (preferred) and expertise in energy analysis, project scope development, engineering design, and bidding for energy services projects.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and manage energy-related projects, including scope of work, energy calculations, and project feasibility assessments.
- Build strong relationships with customers, account managers, and business partners.
- Identify and qualify energy services opportunities within the service territory.
- Lead engineering assessments and collaborate with selected engineering firms.
- Oversee proposal development, ensuring coordination with vendors, manufacturers, and contractors.
- Participate in customer meetings, presentations, and negotiations.
- Manage subcontractor / vendor qualification, negotiation, and coordination during project development.
- Lead scope and cost estimate development for assigned projects.
- Work with supply chain teams for pricing and contracting discussions.
- Evaluate contractor and bid proposals for project selection.
- Assist in contract development and provide legal input as needed.
- Provide oversight for engineering and construction teams during project implementation.
- Develop project schedules, track expenses, and manage billing processes.
- Ensure successful project closeout and documentation.
- Provide technical training as necessary.
