Job Title: Cloud Architect

Location: Fairfax, Virginia (Onsite)

We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications

Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-quality cloud architecture solutions that align with organizational requirements and enterprise architectural standards.
• Collaborate with business owners, analysts, architects, development teams, and infrastructure services to define and establish application and data architecture standards, policies, and directions.
• Implement and utilize cloud technologies, focusing on Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Kubernetes.
• Ensure all cloud architecture solutions comply with Fairfax County standards, including integration with offerings from major Cloud Service Providers.
• Develop and apply cloud strategies, processes, and standards to enhance the effectiveness of cloud applications and infrastructure.
• Design and oversee the implementation of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform and Ansible.
• Utilize scripting languages (Bash Shell, PowerShell) and manage version control using GIT.
• Apply CI/CD practices to streamline and automate cloud deployment processes.
  
  

Required Skills And Qualifications

• 7 years of experience in cloud architecture, with a strong background in designing and implementing cloud solutions.
• Expertise in Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in Linux system administration (e.g., Ubuntu) and development using .NET and PHP.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Bash Shell and PowerShell.
• Skilled in using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and Ansible.
• Knowledge of CI/CD practices and tools.
• Strong ability to collaborate with various stakeholders to establish and communicate cloud architecture standards and policies.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced certifications in cloud technologies (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Professional Cloud Architect).
• Experience with enterprise-level cloud implementations and integrations.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to drive complex cloud architecture projects.
