Job Title : Senior Information Security Analyst
Location : Austin,Texas (Hybrid)
We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualification
Required Qualifications :
Experience in coordinating and executing security policies and controls while assessing vulnerabilities within the organization.
Proficiency in data and network security processing, security systems management, and security violation investigations.
Ability to analyze on-prem and cloud security operations daily and collaborate with DevSecOps teams to support security audits, documentation, and reporting.
Deep understanding of regulatory requirements, industry standards, and cybersecurity trends, including working closely with DevSecOps teams and custodians.
Strong project management skills with experience overseeing security-related initiatives.
Ability to identify security issues, analyze alternatives, and implement effective solutions.
Ability to orchestrate security-related meetings, including project kick-offs, security findings discussions, and remediation plans.
Hands-on experience implementing security measures to protect systems, networks, and data, staying up to date with the latest security threats.
Extensive experience working with and implementing NIST 800-37, NIST 800-53, MARS-E controls, POA&Ms, and developing Corrective Action Plans.
Experience reviewing security violations and working with HHSC / TIERS Security teams to ensure compliance with security policies and procedures.
Experience with web application firewalls.
Strong conflict management skills with experience resolving issues at managerial levels.
Experience reviewing and coordinating audit responses, gathering evidence, and preparing action plans in collaboration with IT departments.
Preferred Qualifications :
Advanced experience in developing and implementing IT security policies, standards, and procedures.
Experience in delivering technical training related to cloud-based security technologies.
Hands-on experience providing support for Windows and Linux operating systems and applications.
Experience conducting information security risk assessments.
Familiarity with security governance, documentation, and security plan development.
In-depth knowledge of AWS Cloud Security or other Cloud service providers.
Experience working with ITIL-based ticketing systems such as Remedy and ServiceNow.
Ability to train staff on network and information security best practices.
Experience working with security tools such as Archer GRC, Dynatrace, Splunk, Imperva Web Application Firewall, Qualys, and Microsoft Office tools
Responsibilities :
Implement and maintain security measures to safeguard systems, networks, and data from cyber threats.
Perform daily security analysis of on-premises and cloud security operations and collaborate with DevSecOps teams.
Ensure compliance with security policies, standards, and regulatory frameworks, including NIST 800-37, NIST 800-53, and MARS-E controls.
Identify and assess security risks, propose mitigation strategies, and track remediation progress.
Manage security projects, ensuring proper planning, execution, and documentation.
Conduct security assessments, audits, and vulnerability testing to detect potential threats and weaknesses.
Review and coordinate responses to security audits, including gathering evidence and addressing corrective actions.
Monitor security incidents, investigate violations, and collaborate with stakeholders to enhance security measures.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of cybersecurity trends, threats, and regulatory requirements to enhance security strategies.
Provide training and awareness sessions on security best practices and risk management.
Collaborate with IT teams and security stakeholders to improve overall security posture and implement security enhancements.
Work with Web Application Firewalls, security monitoring tools, and threat detection platforms to ensure system integrity.
