About The Role

You'll work closely with cross-functional teams, customers, and internal stakeholders, applying best practices in engineering and leadership.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of ~6 mechanical engineers.
- Drive team performance using SMART objectives and regular 1:1s.
- Champion best-practice mechanical engineering to ensure delivery of safe, compliant, and high-quality solutions.
- Create and manage work packages across cross-functional teams from design to volume production.
- Ensure designs meet stakeholder requirements and comply with relevant regulations and standards.
- Share your technical expertise to support training, mentoring, and the professional growth of your team.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Extensive experience in mechanical design within a regulated industry.
- Strong understanding of compliance, safety standards, and engineering methodologies (e.g., PHA, HAZOP, FMEA).
- Proven leadership skills and experience managing engineering teams.
- Skilled in full product development lifecycle (e.g., V-curve).
- Chartered Engineer status or working towards it.
- Formal qualifications in Functional Safety.
