Job Summary: The Security Officer is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the company's premises, employees, and assets during night shifts on weekends. This role involves monitoring surveillance equipment, conducting regular patrols, and responding to security incidents.
Job Responsibilities/Duties: Security Officer
- Monitor Surveillance Systems: Observe and review footage from security cameras to detect any suspicious activities.
- Conduct Patrols: Perform regular patrols of the facility, including the perimeter, to ensure all areas are secure.
- Access Control: Manage and monitor access to the premises, ensuring only authorized personnel are allowed entry.
- Incident Response: Respond promptly to security breaches, alarms, and other emergencies, following established protocols.
- Report Writing: Document and report any incidents, irregularities, or safety hazards encountered during the shift.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Supervisors/Management to maintain a safe environment.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and legal regulations related to security and safety.
- Ability to communicate effectively and demonstrate good listening skills
- Obey the safety standards of ACS and follow local, state, and federal regulations
- Responsible for any other tasks that may arise
Minimum Requirements/Experience:
- Experience: Previous experience in security or a related field is preferred.
- Skills: Strong observational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Certifications: Security certification or license as required by local regulations.
- Availability: Must be available to work night shifts on weekends.
- Must pass a drug screen and background check for employment
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
- Capability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
- Good physical condition to handle potential physical confrontations or emergencies.
Required Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent
