Company Description: ACS Manufacturing is a state-of-the-art design build manufacturer of acoustical equipment enclosures, fuel tanks, turbine systems and skids. We have one of the largest facilities in the industry, nearly 300,000 square feet on 36 acres in Denison, Texas and has expanded its operation to 150,000 square feet facility in Abbeville, SC.
Job Summary: The Inventory Clerk is responsible for all activities related to tracking, maintaining and organizing inventory in the electrical cage and in the Epicor software system. This individual is also responsible for managing cleanliness of the electrical shop, including the facility’s floors, racks, walls, and presentation of shelving.
Job Responsibilities/Duties: Inventory Clerk
- Relocate inventory from shipping/receiving as necessary to the electrical cage
- Label, organize, and straighten shelving, pallets, wire and conduit racks as required
- Stock shelves with electrical parts same day they arrive
- Maintain a strict and accurate lists / inventory control of parts entering and leaving electrical cage
- Haul boxes / trash to dumpster / compactor as required
- Stacking / Labeling pallets
- Organizing material with jobs
- Measure and pre-cut specific lengths of wire, conduit, and Sealtite as required
- Ability to follow ship lists / kit lists and assemble electrical kits as required for field use
- Package electrical ship loose items and inventory as required
- Assisting electrical crews with material handling and project deliverables
- Ability to communicate effectively and demonstrates good listening skills
- Manage and ensure cleanliness of electrical cage, shelves and floor space as required
- Obey the safety standards of ACS and follow local, state, and federal regulations
- Responsible for any other tasks that may arise
Work Environmental & Physical Demand:
- May stand for long periods of up to 12 hours.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. repetitively, as well as frequent twisting and bending, to meet fast paced work demands
- Work in various adverse conditions such as tight or enclosed spaces, heights and extreme temperatures. May work inside or outside to complete work assignments. Position requires exposure to dust and dirt.
- Follow safety standards in working with multiple services, tools and equipment.
Minimum Requirements/Experience:
- Must have a minimum of 1-years’ experience in a shop/production environment
- Must have at least 1-year related experience or education related to job description as determined by employer
- Ability to safely operate a forklift
- Functional knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Must pass a drug screen and background check for employment
