Job Summary: Ensures that staffing requirements for each shift are fulfilled based on the experience and qualifications of the candidates. The Recruiting/Staffing coordinator works directly with the Shop Department Supervisors and Production Management, knowing what openings are available and recruiting to fill. This position is responsible for recruiting through various avenues to ensure an adequate number of applicants are interviewed and hired. This position is also responsible for all new job offers, and pre-employment testing and paperwork, as well as orientation of new employees and administrative support. This position works as part of the human resources team and reports to the Human Resources Manager.
Job Responsibilities/Duties: Recruiting/Staffing Coordinator
- Responsible for recruiting, screening and interviewing job candidates, using all avenues available including but not limited to; Department of Workforce Services, job search platforms, newspaper, radio, social media, hiring agencies, etc.
- Plan, coordinate and participate in job fairs as needed.
- Maintain all job postings with up-to-date job openings.
- Complete new hire and applicant documentation.
- Complete and coordinate interviews and shop specific assessments.
- Conducts the complete on-boarding process and new employee orientation.
- Prepare and maintain accurate Human Resource records, reports and personnel records as assigned. Utilizes the HRIS (HCM) system for new hire set up
- Update and maintain Staffing Spreadsheet with new hires, job changes and terminations.
- Update uniform spreadsheet with new hire information.
- Assists in communicating to employees the details of payroll, benefits, policies and other information as directed. Also, assists with employee training as needed.
- Communicate effectively verbally and written to all levels of staff and management, outside officials and agencies, and the public.
- Accurately follow verbal and written directions from senior management.
- Advise HR Manager on concerns that arise related to employee issues.
- Conduct research regarding recruiting, employment issues, employee turnover, labor market, benefits, workers compensation and personnel procedures as directed by the HR Manager and above.
- Performs other work as required or assigned by upper management, such as answering phone calls, greeting visitors, note taking, sending correspondence and filing.

Minimum Requirements/Experience:
- Two years or more of recruiting experience, with industrial manufacturing concentration
- Proficient in working in: Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Publisher and Outlook
- Must pass a drug screen and background check for employment
Required Education:
- High School diploma required; Associate degree or SPHR/PHR or CP/SCP a plus.
