Electrical Engineer (8106)

Overview:

ACS Professional Staffing is looking for an employee to work on-site with our client. This Engineer position will provide engineering services and support through the performance of basic tasks requiring the application of fundamental engineering principles in support of the design modification, operation, and independent assessment of facilities. This full-time position is located in Richland, WA.

Pay rate: $45.42 – $64.06

Responsibilities:

• Provide independent engineering service and support by performing complex engineering tasks requiring specialized skills and broad experience in the application of engineering fundamentals in support of the design modification, operation, and independent assessment of facilities
• Perform basic analysis and designs in support of systems, programs and projects
• Perform problem resolution via plant process
• Assist in audits, tests and inspections
• Use engineering judgment in evaluating results or findings
• Provide technical guidance within assigned discipline or activity
• Develop engineering designs, construction documents, specifications, evaluations of existing systems, and work instructions
• Support systems, programs, audits, inspections, and assessments using skills and experience gained through application of engineering methods and analysis, codes, standards, and regulatory requirements
• May provide unconventional or advanced problem-solving techniques
• Routinely provide technical leadership on complex and/or extended programs and projects
• Integrate design, regulatory, operating maintenance, and administrative requirements into tasks
• Perform tasks within schedule and budget
• Ensure effective coordination of efforts with other departments and disciplines
• Work with minimum supervision
• Provide technical guidance to designers; check and review technical products of others
• Identify potential schedule or quality problems

Requirements:

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited college or university
• PE license obtained by accredited examination and a minimum of 7 years of experience in engineering with WA state license preferred
• Preferred commercial electrical engineer with some knowledge with arc flash and medium voltage distribution
• Background in other engineering disciplines are encouraged
• Knowledge and ability to select and apply basic discipline engineering principles, practices and theories and use of commonly applied engineering approaches and calculations
• Knowledge of discipline engineering principles, practices, and theories and methods to identify and solve standard to highly complex problems and perform sophisticated analyses
• Knowledge of related discipline principles is also required
• Computer skills required to develop engineering designs
• Effective communication skills are required to relate to a wide variety of backgrounds
• Ability to provide strong technical leadership
• Basic understanding and use of company core values (teamwork, excellence, accountability, mutual respect, and trust, through open and honest communication)
