The IT End-User Support Specialist handles every aspect of endpoint maintenance, management, and policy enforcement regardless of end-point platform.
What You’ll Do :
Serves as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for technical support for ACST internal users.
Supports all end-point devices on multiple technology platforms (e.g., Windows, Mac, XenDesktop, phones, mobile phones, tablets).
Supports and maintains the hardware and software on ACST corporate-issued computers and mobile platforms. Performs all regular maintenance (daily, monthly, annually) using the necessary equipment and software.
Configures and deploys new computers, laptops, Macs, phones, mobile phones, Virtual Machines (including, but not limited to XenDesktop, tablets and other company end point devices. Installs off-the-shelf software to the configuration standard (i.e. Excel, Word, Windows). Identifies and replaces malfunctioning or inoperative equipment (e.g. hard drives or RAM replacement).
Administers user accounts, permissions and credentials across all end-point platforms.
Assists in the creation of policies and procedures pertaining to end-point devices or governing their usage as needed.
Troubleshoots routine to moderately complex issues.
Keeps accurate records of maintenance performed and inventory of all equipment.
Specs out the correct end-point solution for an employee’s needs in accordance with IT purchasing guidelines while balancing cost and performance as required.
What We’re Looking For :
Must be a comfortable driving distance from Florence, South Carolina. This role requires onsite hours at ACST’s headquarters.
BS in computer science or information systems with a background in troubleshooting routine issues or an equivalent mix of education and experience.
CompTIA A certification or equivalent experience required. Security certification or equivalent experience preferred.
Dell and Mac certification, or ability to achieve certifications within the first few months in position.
Ability to translate expressed customer needs and concerns into viable end-user solutions to provide an exceptional customer service experience.
Ability to communicate complicated, technical data in non-technical terms.
Ability to evaluate and determine software and hardware needs to address the needs of the ACST employees.
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and a high degree of confidentiality.
Ability to maintain accurate records of hardware and software assets.
