What are the responsibilities and job description for the General Operator - Filling position at ACS U.S.A., LLC?
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
Large Batch Filling
Operate filling equipment (pump stations, mixers, mixing tanks etc.) to successfully complete filling operations in our Large-batch production area.
- Prepare containers for filling (Labeling/Staging)
- Fill Bulk Tank Wagons, Totes, Drums, Pails, Gallons, and Quarts.
- Execute the necessary Mobysis/SAP transactions to perform goods-receipts and packaging consumptions.
Small Batch Filling
- Operate filling equipment (pump stations, mixers, mixing tanks etc.) to successfully complete filling operations in our Small-batch production area.
- Prepping containers for filling (Labeling/Staging)
- Prepare containers for filling (Labeling/Staging)
- Fill Totes, Drums, Pails, Gallons, and Quarts.
- Execute the necessary Mobysis/SAP transactions to perform goods-receipts and packaging consumptions.
Production Area Support
- Operate Forklift
- Load/Unload delivery of production goods (New totes/drums/pails/gallons)
- Clean/Maintain Mixers and Mixing Equipment
- Clean/Organize Production Floor Zones
Filling & Packaging Safety
- Promote and demonstrate all Axalta workplace safety standards, requirements, and best practices.
- Ensure necessary PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) is available and in-use at all times.
- Identify, document and correct site safety concerns (via near-miss reporting)
QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to adequately perform each essential duty required of the position. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Required:
- Education and/or Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Abilities/Knowledge Detail oriented and able to deliver high quality and accurate work.
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
- Strong work ethic and an earnest willingness to learn and adapt to continuous changes.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate. Read, understand, and interpret work-orders as related to assigned tasks.
Preferred:
- 5 Experience in an industrial production environment.
- Previous management, supervisory or leadership experience preferred but not required.
- Industry Experience
- experience in a manufacturing environment or similar setting preferred.
- Prior Forklift Experience
- Technical Training. Manufacturing experience (Process, Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, etc.)
- Safety & Hazardous Materials Training
