LAB TECH/RESEARCH INTERN
ONSITE IN CHESWICK, PA – TEMP TO PERM CAREER OPPORTUNITY
Innova Solutions is immediately hiring a Lab Technician / Research Intern with one of our direct clients in the Paint & Glass Manufacturing field.
Ø Position type: Contract to Hire Career Opportunity
Ø Duration: 7 Months
Ø Location: Onsite in Cheswick, PA
Ø Hourly Pay Rate: $21.00/hr
As a Lab Technician / Chemistry Graduate you will:
· Perform a variety of paint industry testing. The color lab is a high throughput environment that works with many materials simultaneously. Organization and attention to detail will be key for success.
· The technician will perform various tasks including filling out paint from gallon and five gallon containers to smaller containers by weight, tinting paint samples, completing drawdowns and disposing of waste generated.
· Responsibilities of this position does require longer periods of standing and lifting large quantities of paint, like 5 gallon containers. Other miscellaneous tasks include measuring weight per gallon, tint machine verification, panel preparation and computer work primarily in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access like programs.
· This role will be hybrid of computer work and lab work.
The ideal candidate will have:
§ Reside in or near Cheswick, PA and will be required to work onsite Mon to Fri
§ Recent college graduate with a Science or Chemistry related degree is required
§ Previous laboratory experience, research experience, color paint experience and/or cleanroom experience is required
§ Must be detail oriented and career driven. This is a career opportunity!
