Job Description
ACT Power Services utilizes a robust network of vegetation subcontractors and in house resources in order to provide land management for our fleet which encompasses 1000s of acres across 10 states. The Vegetation Maintenance Technician work with all commercial aspects of our in house vegetation maintenance needs, and help develop best in class vegetation management practices through implementation of new techniques and technology to lower cost without sacrificing quality.
Essential Responsibilities and Requirements:
- Ability to operate commercial vegetation maintenance equipment
- Clean driving record, and pass background check
- Support other electrical and vegetation teams
- Perform equipment maintenance regularly
- Work in all types of weather conditions
- Lift 50lbs
- Abide by company handbook
- Clean and Fuel company equipment daily
- Promote Safe working practices and environment
- Ability to use Hand or Power tools
- MS office and maintenance management software
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or demonstrated equivalent combination of education, training and related experience.
- Specific training, education, or experience with personnel and schedule management
- Specific training, education, or experience with land management in industrial settings
- Licensure to apply herbicides
- Ability to independently assess, define and solve issues
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
