Relationship Manager I Business Development Professional - Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) Firm
Location: Allen, TX – (In-Office Extensive Travel)

Job Summary:
We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Relationship Manager/Business Development professional to drive business growth through a strategic sales approach and strong client relationship management. This role combines proactive outreach with a consultative sales process, focusing on identifying opportunities and engaging warm leads in a niche market where we have an established reputation. Extensive nationwide travel is required to meet with prospects and clients in person, deepen relationships, and expand our market presence. The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to connect with prospects, understand their financial needs, and guide them through initial contact to conversion, and ongoing account management.
Key Responsibilities:
Relationship Management
- Serve as a primary relationship manager for assigned clients, ensuring exceptional service and engagement.
- Conduct financial planning discussions, and portfolio reviews to assess evolving client needs.
- Work collaboratively with the investment and financial planning teams to provide customized solutions.
- Address client concerns proactively, ensuring a seamless and high-touch service experience.
- Develop long-term relationships built on trust, transparency, and a deep understanding of clients' financial goals.
Business Development
- Proactively engage with prospective clients through strategic outreach, introducing them to our investment and financial planning services while identifying their needs and goals.
- Qualify leads and schedule introductory meetings for senior advisors.
- Maintain detailed records of client interactions, follow-ups, and conversions in the CRM system.
- Educate potential clients on our services and building rapport.
- Work closely with the advisor team to refine outreach scripts and improve conversion rates.
- Achieve appointment-setting and out-reach targets to support firm growth.
Qualifications & Skills:
- 3-5 years of experience in sales, or business development, preferably in financial services, wealth management, or an RIA firm.
- 4-year college degree required
- Strong ability to engage and influence potential clients over the phone.
- Exceptional verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of investment advisory, financial planning, and wealth management is mandatory.
- FINRA licenses (Series 65, 66, or other relevant licenses)
- CFP preferred
- Highly self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable in a performance-driven environment.
