Position Summary

The Database Administrator (DBA) will be a key member of the Data & Analytics team, responsible for the ongoing performance, integrity, and security of Actabl’s Microsoft SQL Server-based database environments. This role will implement source system changes to support ETL workflows, optimize database operations, and provide 24/7 support in a rotating on-call schedule.

Essential Duties

• Monitor and maintain performance of database system resources and query throughput.
• Oversee database storage, backups, index rebuilds/defragmentation, and statistics updates.
• Manage transactional replication systems and SQL Server Availability Groups.
• Implement changes to source systems to support ETL processes (Change Tracking, field updates, etc.).
• Administer and maintain database security, including user access.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database connectivity and performance issues.
• Optimize SQL code and proactively address MS-SQL alerts.
• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to ensure 24/7 support for database operations.
• Maintain database documentation and follow problem management processes.
  
  

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

• 3 years as a DBA in a Microsoft SQL Server environment

• Relational Databases: SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle Database.

Work Environment

This is a hybrid position, allowing for flexibility in work location. The role requires a reliable internet connection and a suitable home office setup to ensure productivity and effective communication.

• Travel: Occasional travel may be required for team meetings, conferences, or training sessions. This could include both in-state and out-of-state travel.
