Job Description
Key Responsibilities
The main duties include processing specimens and conducting tests:
- Perform high-complexity tests authorized by the Laboratory Director, requiring skills that match the individual's education, training, experience, and technical abilities.
- Follow laboratory procedures for handling and processing specimens, analyzing tests, reporting results, and maintaining patient test records.
- Adhere to quality control policies, document all quality control activities, instrument calibrations, procedural calibrations, and maintenance performed.
- Follow established policies and procedures when test systems do not meet acceptable performance levels.
- Identify and address issues that may affect test performance or result reporting, or promptly notify the General Supervisor, Technical Supervisor, Clinical Consultant, or Laboratory Director.
- Document all corrective actions taken when test systems deviate from established performance specifications.
- Perform high-complexity testing under the direct supervision of a qualified Supervisor, except as specified in the qualifications.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
Previous medical or production experience
Prior experience with LIMS
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
