Position Summary: The Animal Care Technician plays a vital role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of animals in a professional care environment. The technician works closely with other team members to uphold the highest standards of animal care and welfare.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide daily care, feeding, and enrichment for animals.
- Monitor and document animal health and behavior, reporting any concerns to supervisors.
- Clean and disinfect animal enclosures, equipment, and facilities.
- Assist with medical procedures, including administering medications and supporting veterinary staff.
- Maintain accurate records of animal care, health status, and facility operations.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and welfare regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to improve care practices and facility operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in animal care are a plus.
- Experience working with animals in a professional setting is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
