The Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Lead will support, develop, communicate, train, drive, manage, audit, improve, and measure EHS performance. This role focuses on enhancing EHS compliance and risk management processes, providing performance improvement, and integrating EHS into daily operations. The EHS Specialist will also support the development and execution of compliance programs.
Responsibilities
- Support the development and implementation of environmental, health, and safety programs, tools, and standards in line with global EHS policies.
- Train and communicate to ensure compliance with regulatory and internal standards.
- Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders to achieve compliance.
- Conduct investigations of working conditions to prevent occupational disease and industrial health hazards.
- Promote EHS awareness through effective employee communications and participation.
- Serve as key point of contact for safety and environmental issues.
- Support regulated waste management including consolidation and inspections.
- Conduct compliance tasks such as storm water sampling, waste inspections, chemical inventory, and life safety audits.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and customer requirements.
- Support and conduct EHS audits, develop action plans, and implement countermeasures.
- Perform risk assessments related to job hazards for new processes and equipment.
- Maintain accurate metrics to report to management teams and corporate reporting systems.
- Support management efforts to ensure compliance with corporate program expectations and applicable federal and state laws.
- Recommend appropriate risk mitigation measures.
- Establish and manage the safety committee.
- Drive continual improvement efforts to reduce site safety and environmental risk.
- Support site stand-up meetings, safety committees, and floor inspections.
Essential Skills
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in industrial hygiene, occupational health, environmental engineering, environmental science, or a related field, or relevant experience.
- 1 years’ experience in EHS support, especially warehousing.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations, specifically 29 CFR 1910.
- Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel in a professional capacity.
- Experience maintaining confidentiality in matters involving security and/or personnel issues.
Additional Skills & Qualifications

Pay: $65.00 - $68.00 per hour
