What are the responsibilities and job description for the Technician position at Actalent Services?
Job Description: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the automotive industry.
Work Environment: You will work on a team supporting a fleet of prototype heavy-duty trucks, focusing on the powertrain (engine, after treatment, transmission, etc.). These prototype vehicles operate 24-7 and come to the facility twice a day for Technicians to install and remove hardware from the trucks per the Engineers’ instructions.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Powertrain hardware: Install/remove powertrain hardware per direction from engineer. Ensure hardware is installed per specification and document any hardware changes and/or measurements.
- Electrical: understand electrical wiring and components in vehicle
- Special tests: Support engineers in regards to hardware/instrumentation installation/removal.
- Training: Continue to gain knowledge of powertrain hardware.
- Must have transportation experience, whether it be automotive, aerospace, bus, truck, etc.
