Hiring an Accounts Receivable Specialist

We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for entering and creating invoices, managing customer accounts, and handling collections. Responsibilities

• Create, enter, and email receivable invoices and statements.
• Pre-authorize, charge, and reconcile credit card payments.
• Prepare deposits by matching checks to invoices and entering payments into the system.
• Analyze customer records efficiently and make necessary corrections or modifications accurately.
• Manage aging reports and collections by monitoring past due accounts.
• Perform collections outreach by contacting customers to arrange payment of outstanding invoices.
• Resolve customer account inquiries.
• Answer customer calls, questions, and take orders as needed.
• Handle conversations with customers who are upset.

Essential Skills

• High School diploma or GED.
• 2 or more years of work experience in accounts receivable or accounting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with SAP is a major plus.
• Knowledge of creating invoices and using Excel.

Work Environment

You will work in a small office environment supporting a company specializing in industrial adhesives.

This role is 100% in-office, located in Sunset Park, Brooklyn.

SCHEDULE: The work hours are from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm with no weekends.

The company offers competitive pay, stable hours, and an opportunity for growth. Additionally, the entire company shuts down for the first two weeks of July and the final week of the year. The team is small, with no more than 30 employees, providing a steady and supportive work environment year-round.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00
