Actalent is looking for a full-time AI/ML Engineer to support our client, a leading DoD organization, onsite in Aurora, CO.
Job Description
This position is for an AI/ML Engineer looking for new challenging problems. You will support the development of AI/ML algorithms in a multitude of disciplines from object detection/classification, natural language processing, reinforcement learning, and large language models. Additionally, we have a team of excellent researchers and software developers who are eager to mentor and teach their craft. We have multiple positions available and welcome all experience levels!
Responsibilities
- Work as part of a small team consisting of developers and researchers to implement machine learning algorithms to solve a broad set of challenges for our various customers.
- Analyze large multi-domain datasets such as images, text, and/or graph data to identify statistically relevant features to build models that provide analysts with actionable data.
- Use cloud services to train and deploy ML models.
- Review relevant publications to understand and apply cutting edge concepts to defense and commercial applications.
- Write technical documentation supporting code, program capabilities, and user-guides.
Essential Skills
- Effective communicator with the ability to write and present technical reports.
- Experience with Python and any of the following Python data science/machine learning libraries: NumPy, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch.
- Experience applying unsupervised and/or supervised machine learning techniques.
- Experience applying and/or developing algorithms based on statistical analysis.
- Experience analyzing large datasets and building models to perform inference.
- BS in machine learning, computer science, mathematics, or relevant fields.
- 2 years of experience developing AI/ML applications, data science, and/or algorithm development.
- Active TS/SCI clearance.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience leading an interdisciplinary team of researchers and software developers.
- Experience with Large Language Models and identifying ways to incorporate them into new areas and applications.
- Experience with object detection algorithms such as YOLO and Faster-RCNN.
- Experience with Natural Language Processing algorithms such as Transformers and RNNs.
- Experience applying Transformer-based architectures to domains outside of NLP such as computer vision.
- Experience with Generative Adversarial Networks and Variational Autoencoders.
- Familiarity with reinforcement learning and tools such as OpenAI Gym, RLlib, and Stable Baselines.
- Experience applying clustering algorithms and/or deep neural networks to real-life problems.
- Experience implementing tracking & fusion and pattern-of-life algorithms.
- Experience with machine learning libraries and frameworks such as Hugging Face and LangChain.
- Experience with Linux.
- Familiarity with using AWS cloud computing resources such as EC2, S3, Lambda, etc.
Work Environment
This position is all on-site in Aurora or King of Prussia. The work schedule is flexible, with options for 4 10-hour days or a 9/80 schedule.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $70.00/hr.
