Job Description
We are looking for a Lead EME Aircraft Component Technician to join our team at a Seattle-area aerospace engineering company. In this role, you will manage a team and perform hands-on repair, assembly, soldering, and re-manufacture of electrical/electromechanical components. You will be responsible for scheduling work assignments, mentoring technicians, and providing support. Additionally, you will test, troubleshoot, and repair components while assisting with daily operations such as timekeeping, reporting, and training.
Responsibilities
- Manage a team and perform hands-on repair, assembly, soldering, and re-manufacture of electrical/electromechanical components.
- Schedule work assignments and mentor technicians.
- Provide support and serve as a liaison between technicians and the product manager.
- Assist with daily operations including timekeeping, reporting, and training.
- Monitor and evaluate staff performance.
- Test and repair aircraft components per company data.
- Complete company forms and reports accurately.
- Collaborate with co-workers and management.
- Develop new processes and procedures.
- Coordinate with warehouse and supply chain teams.
- Maintain a clean work area and assist with shop upkeep.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external representatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
- Pass a basic background check.
- 4 years of related experience (aviation, marine, electronics, or low-voltage electric repair).
- Experience in leading and managing people and shop workflow.
- Proficiency in electrical soldering.
- Ability to follow instructions and procedures accurately.
- Fluency in English; bilingual in English and Vietnamese preferred.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings, blueprints, and manuals.
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and organized.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, email, and Teams.
- Punctual and reliable.
- Valid driver's license.
- Electrical/mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Trade schooling or related industry experience required.
- Associate's degree or higher in a related technical field preferred.
Work Environment
This role operates in a standard office environment with a moderate noise level. Effective oral communication with customers, management, and co-workers is essential. The job requires essential hearing and vision for technical work, manual dexterity for small parts and tools, and the ability to sit for extended periods (up to 50% of the time). Occasional lifting up to 25lbs and mobility to access files, storage, office equipment, and meetings are also required.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $85000.00/yr.
Hourly position commensurate with experience level, skill level and/or certifications or licenses. ($36.05 per hour to $40.86 per hour or $70,000 - $85,000 annually).

401k plan with 100% match on the first 4%, fully vested immediately.
