Actalent is Hiring an Entry Level Analytical Lab Technician!

Responsibilities

• Perform raw material, in-process, and release testing using analytical techniques such as UV-Vis, IR, HPLC, GC, AA, titrations, viscosity analysis, etc.
• Apply technical knowledge of chromatography and bench chemistry.
• Utilize good computer skills, with proficiency in Word and Excel. Experience with LIMS is a plus.
• Apply basic statistics and compare data trends.
• Communicate effectively through verbal and written means, and build strong interpersonal and team-building relationships.
• Exhibit excellent organizational, problem-solving, prioritizing, and follow-up skills.
• Handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

Essential Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or a related science field.
• Working knowledge of cGMPs as applicable to the laboratory environment.
• Proficiency in HPLC, GC, and other analytical chemistry techniques.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis.
• Knowledge of basic statistics.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Capability to verify numbers, words, and alphanumeric combinations across multiple mediums.
• Openness to occasional off-shift and weekend hours.

Work Environment

• The work environment is a laboratory setting within an OTC drug manufacturing facility.
• The lab is equipped with various instruments and the team includes Microbiologists, QC Chemists, and other Lab Technicians.
• Flexibility is required for working some overtime and possible weekends.
• The facility follows GMP and undergoes FDA audits.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.00/hr.
