Application Engineer- Technical Sales

We are seeking a highly motivated Application Engineer to join our team in providing industry-leading service for large industrial motors, generators, and turbines to customers worldwide. The Application Engineer will be responsible for prospecting new service business, quoting various services to customers, and developing sales proposals in coordination with our factories and partners. As an Application Engineer, you will also serve as the liaison between inside and outside sales, promoting collaboration and mutual success.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in office full time in NE Minneapolis with a service team of 10-20 tight-knit team members with a company growth rate of 30% year over year.

Responsibilities

• Respond to service inquiries effectively and promote strong customer relationships with high levels of enthusiasm and energy.
• Provide industry-leading service for large industrial motors, generators, and turbines.
• Prospect new service business and quote various services to customers.
• Develop sales proposals in coordination with factories and partners.
• Serve as the liaison between inside and outside sales teams.
• Review requests for proposals (RFPs), customer specifications, and other requirements to successfully bid on projects.
• Request quotes from factories and partners, and create quotes for customers.
• Coordinate proposal development with Service Engineering, Field Service, and Outside Sales teams.
• Support successful handoff between Outside Sales and Project Management.
• Make visits to customers, partners, and vendors as required.
• Maintain and develop Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and quote databases.

Essential Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of recent experience in general industrial inside or outside sales.
• Experience with SAP and OEM.
• Proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong oral and written communication skills for effectively dealing with customers.
• Ability to support the technical engineering group.
• Experience with quoting and developing sales proposals.
• Ability to maintain and develop KPIs and quote databases.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $41.00
