Job Description

Deliver design-sensitive projects on schedule and within budget while making authoritative decisions and recommendations of significant impact related to the project. Lead design discussions and the development of drawings, modeling, and 3D renderings based upon those discussions, ensuring the design intent of the project is incorporated into the detailed documentation. Oversee specification set-up and drawing coordination, research, and appropriate use of standards. Manage and coordinate technical aspects of the design of multiple projects, assuming responsibility for finished plans, specifications, and QA/QC. Develop and manage project scope, budgets, schedules, QA/QC reviews, and client expectations ensuring that cost, customer service, quality, schedule, and safety are incorporated into the design from commencement through completion. Communicate and coordinate with other architects, owners, engineering disciplines, vendors, consultants, governmental agencies, etc. throughout the design phases of the building project. Manage the preparation of construction documents and direct the construction administration phase.

Responsibilities

• Communicate and coordinate with other architects, owners, engineering disciplines, vendors, consultants, and governmental agencies.
• Manage the preparation of construction documents and direct the construction administration phase.
• Lead ongoing business development activities including project proposal preparation.
• Evaluate and select architectural and engineering consultants.
• Lead marketing, contractual, design, and production meetings.

Essential Skills

• Architectural Degree or informed knowledge of the field of architecture and design.
• Architectural Professional license.
• between 3-10 years design experience and expert knowledge of building products, construction details, and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards.
• Strong portfolio to demonstrate architectural skills.
• Familiarity with design software.
• Proficient with all Microsoft Office applications.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare, higher education, or aviation sectors.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit.
• Working knowledge of sustainability, integrated design, and relevant guidelines.
• Working knowledge of buildingSMART, Building Information Modeling (BIM), and Integrated Project Delivery (IPD).
• Proficiency in Bluebeam, Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketchup, and InDesign graphic software.

Work Environment

Our firm offers a hybrid work schedule with 3 days in the office and 2 days remote, with flexible remote days.

We also provide a half-day on Fridays.

As a 100% ESOP company, we offer quarterly profit distribution (after the first year)

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $90000.00/yr.

100% ESOP Company
Quarterly profit distribution (after the first year)
PTO changes every year - based on tenure - sending a chart
After 9 years receive 6 weeks of PTO

Hybrid Schedule - 3 days in office, two days remote (can pick the remote days)
