Actalent Services is seeking a highly skilled Architect with a Bachelor's degree in Architecture and over 5 years of experience. The ideal candidate must have the ability to lead a team on projects and possess strong planning and mentoring skills. Responsibilities
- Lead a team on construction projects at Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma.
- Supervise one or more project coordinators.
- Independently coordinate the work of Project Architects and balance the multidiscipline team throughout the project's development.
- Establish client relations and participate in marketing, contractual, design, and production meetings.
- Participate in reviews with various governing agencies for code compliance.
- Conduct schematic design development and contract document work sessions at the project site.
- Coordinate workload throughout the entire project development to complete documents on schedule.
- Track financial aspects of projects and adjust work effort to ensure completion within the agreed schedule.
- Work with the Regional Controller and Managing Principal for project reviews with corporate management as needed.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Essential Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture
- Over 5 years of experience in architecture
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
- Experience with AutoCAD
- Ability to lead a team on projects
- Strong planning and mentoring skills
- Excellent written and communication skills
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in federal construction or commercial construction
- Knowledge of design and construction
- Familiarity with the International Building Code, NFPA Life Safety Code, and Unified Facilities Criteria
- Facilities experience
- Interest in construction or facilities upkeep
- At least ten years of experience
Work Environment
The position is based on-site at Tinker Air Force Base, working directly with military and civilian personnel. The role offers exposure to a wide variety of government projects, providing a dynamic and diverse work environment.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $43.69/hr.
