Job Description
We are seeking a Project Architect with strong multi-family housing experience. The successful candidate will work directly with project managers and owners, as well as existing and new clients, taking pieces of projects and running with them. This role involves using software such as Revit, AutoCAD, Lumion for 3D rendering, some SketchUp, and Microsoft products. It includes client interactions and close collaboration with project managers and design teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead in the production of technical drawings and specifications.
- Coordinate the related work of other disciplines and assume construction administration duties on projects.
- Establish accurate parameters of the design work, including code, site restrictions, budget, and schedule restraints.
- Identify building systems options and related performance and cost criteria.
- Assist in the presentation of design documents.
- Assist with daily activities of the architectural project team, progress of the work, and technical quality of the construction documents.
- Perform quality review of projects as assigned.
- Detail architectural elements in documents.
- Assist with construction administration activities, including review of submittals, site visits, addressing construction issues in the field, and providing appropriate direction to contractors.
- Manage projects and mentor staff in collaboration with Project Manager.
- Help maintain and improve office architectural standards, details, and production tools.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Lumion, SketchUp, and Microsoft products.
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture (Master's preferred).
- Licensed Architect (preferred).
- 6-8 years of experience in multifamily housing projects.
- Strong architectural design skills and experience with apartment buildings.
- Project management experience.

Work Environment
The work environment is supportive, flexible, and a mix of experienced and new professionals. The firm has a low-politics and low-gossip culture. Initially, you will be required to work in the office five days a week, with the potential to transition to two days from home. A standard workweek is Monday through Friday, 7 AM to 5 PM, with a requirement of completing 40 hours of work.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.87 - $45.67/hr.
