Job Title: Asbestos Project Monitor

Job Description

We are seeking an Asbestos Project Monitor to conduct on-site asbestos project monitoring, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and safety standards. This role involves documenting project progress using a tablet, performing air sampling and analysis, and maintaining accurate records. Effective communication with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders is essential to meet project objectives.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site asbestos project monitoring to ensure compliance with regulations and safety standards.
• Utilize a tablet in the field to document project progress, collect data, and generate reports.
• Communicate effectively with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
• Perform air sampling and analysis to assess asbestos levels and ensure a safe working environment.
• Maintain accurate records of all project activities and findings.

Essential Skills

• Experience in environmental science and environmental fieldwork.
• Maximum of 3 years of experience in asbestos project monitoring or a related field.
• Valid Asbestos Project Monitor certification.
• Experience with air sampling and OSHA 10.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• HAZWOPER certification.
• Associates, BS, or MS in Environmental Science, Biology, or a related field.
• Capable of using a tablet for fieldwork and data collection.

Work Environment

You will be part of a team consisting of 10-15 Environmental Scientists and Inspectors, working on projects throughout New York City and the Five Boroughs. This field-based position involves sampling in various locations and reporting to Senior Environmental Scientists. The office is located in Midtown, New York, with a fun culture that includes happy hours and outings. There are growth opportunities to become a supervisor, and the company pays for any additional certifications needed during your first week of training.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
