We are seeking a passionate and highly-motivated Assembly Engineer to join our Final Assembly Production Engineering Department. The primary responsibility of this role is to support the development and implementation of new model preparation at North America Manufacturing Centers (NAMC) sites.

Responsibilities

• Project planning for upcoming model changes (10%)
• Simultaneous engineering for vehicle assembly with TMC & TTC (20%)
• Project management over process setup and equipment procurement (70%)
• 3D CAD/Modeling and 2D drawing study
• Vehicle structure study
• Equipment design
• Equipment installation
• Process design
• Supporting new vehicle trials
• Close collaboration with internal and external groups including NAMCs, TMC, TTC, PE support shops, and Plano divisions

Essential Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Tech, or equivalent experience in an Assembly Engineering position
• Experience in Production Engineering or Manufacturing Preparation (minimum 2 years)
• Experience with Equipment Sourcing and Installation (minimum 2 years)
• Experience with 3D modeling and prototype part printing (minimum 1 year)
• Ability to work up to 20% overtime when required
• Ability to travel up to 20% to all NAM sites as well as Japan only as required

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in new model launch preparation
• Assembly Production Engineering experience
• Equipment Controls experience
• Completion of TBP through panel

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $39.00
