What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Construction Project Manager position at Actalent?
Responsibilities: This person will support Multifamily projects
- Update and maintain all sets of drawings, specifications, and addendums in Procore, the project shared drive, and site office copies.
- Prepare current document distributions to subcontractors.
- Provide technical support for the construction team, including participation in construction planning and documenting design coordination meetings.
- Attend and document all project meetings, including subcontractor progress meetings, internal team meetings, bid reviews, and OAC meetings.
- Prepare meeting agendas and distribute meeting minutes to appropriate individuals.
- Generate take-offs of plans to assist the Project Manager with subcontracts and job costing.
- Assist with the preparation and updating of the construction schedule and weekly look ahead schedules.
- Participate in and assist with the implementation of the on-site safety program, including documenting and reporting safety violations.
- Assist the Project Manager with the buy-out and procurement of trades and materials necessary for the project.
- Prepare and maintain RFI logs and track due dates of open items, reporting any delays.
- Submit, manage, and close out all RFI’s, ensuring accuracy and completeness prior to submission to the design team.
- Prepare and manage the project material procurement log.
- Prepare and document extra work requests and change orders, reviewing change order requests for accuracy.
- Compile contract closeout documents and as-built drawings, and schedule and document owner training and commissioning.
- Support the project team during the punchout process, including creating and managing punch lists.
- Review submittals and shop drawings with the Construction Manager.
- Track and document changes to finishes or design elements.
- Perform additional assignments as directed by the supervisor.
- Support a work environment that fosters teamwork and customer excellence.
Essential Skills
- 1-3 years of construction experience
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization and with staff at remote locations.
- Highly proficient in procore Microsoft Excel, Word, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, Outlook, and other supporting software necessary for the job.

The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $80000.00/yr.
