Job Description

This position is responsible for performing electrical testing and evaluation on a variety of products to ensure compliance with U.S., Canadian, and other International product safety standards. The role involves writing reports and communicating with clients, with a focus on testing computer servers.

Responsibilities

• Independently conduct evaluations of products to determine compliance with applicable standards.
• Read and determine the applicability of national codes and standards clauses for the equipment under test (EUT).
• Understand and interpret schematics and manufacturing instructions.
• Validate the project scope and sample applicability.
• Identify and locate test instruments and equipment required for testing within the project scope.
• Follow established test plans.
• Set up and operate EUT and perform simple repairs as needed.
• Conduct thorough construction reviews and document results.
• Perform product testing in accordance with standards, including radiated emissions, conducted emissions, electrostatic discharge, radiated immunity, and conducted immunity.

Essential Skills

• Experience in testing, electrical, and electrical testing.
• Background in electronics.
• Electro-mechanical inclination.
• Experience with hand tools and testing/troubleshooting.
• Ability to follow test plans and conduct mechanical testing using test equipment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Associates Degree or 2-3 years of field experience in an electrical/mechanical technician role.
• Willingness to travel 70% for the first 6-9 months in the role.
• Electro-mechanical aptitude.

Work Environment

The work environment includes a testing lab and chamber. The facility operates 24/7, and schedules are based on candidate availability. Testing projects are managed from start to finish.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $38.00
