As a Medical Assistant, you will perform all routine medical assistant functions with consistency, according to policy and best practice. You will adhere to the participants’ right for privacy and dignity, ensuring superior patient care and service standards.

SCHEDULE: Schedule: 8:00AM – 5:00PM ( Weekly Hours: 40)

LOCATION: Ridgewood, Queens, NY

Responsibilities

• Consistently and accurately take and document participants’ blood pressure, pulse, temperature, height, and weight in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
• Provide superior customer service with a friendly, outgoing, and courteous manner.
• Perform phlebotomy and other medical assisting tasks as required.
• Verify insurance and manage electronic health records.
• Adapt to a fast-paced environment and manage moderate details with frequent interruptions and changes.
• Attend to tasks lasting from 10-90 minutes.
• Work with or without supervision, demonstrating self-direction.
• Establish and maintain a good rapport with participants and peers.
• Answer phone calls with a pleasant telephone manner.
• Work weekends if required.

Work Environment

The work environment is fast-paced, requiring the ability to adapt to frequent interruptions and changes. You will use various medical equipment and electronic health record systems. Weekend work may be required.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00
