Job Title: BIM Coordinator

Job Description

We are seeking a talented BIM Coordinator to join our design team at an electrical contractor company based in Springfield, VA. Our company specializes in commercial, industrial, and government projects, and due to our recent growth, we need to expand our team. The Electrical Revit Drafter will be responsible for performing red lines, markups, and producing construction drawings for electrical construction projects, with the majority of drafting done in Revit.

Responsibilities

• Perform red lines and markups on electrical construction documents
• Produce construction drawings for electrical projects
• Create and manipulate Revit Families and Assemblies
• Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure project accuracy
• Perform 3D modeling and BIM coordination
• Set up and create Revit families
• Annotate drawings and create sheets in Revit

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in creating electrical construction documents
• Proficiency in Revit
• Experience with electrical design and drafting
• Experience with AutoCAD and 3D modeling
• Experience with BIM and electrical systems
• 2 years of electrical experience
• Experience with redlines and markups
• Coordination with other disciplines

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to coordinate clashes and clear them
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Work Environment

The role involves working mostly onsite with a schedule of 7:00 AM to 2:30 PM. Despite being a growing company, we maintain a personal touch similar to a mom-and-pop shop. Our team enjoys various team-building activities such as attending Nats games a few times a year, holiday parties at Laurel Racetrack, and an annual golf tournament in October.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $80000.00/hr.
