Job Title: Manufacturing Technician

Job Description

The Manufacturing Technician is responsible for the manufacture of therapeutic proteins (API) under cGMP conditions. This role involves executing process recipes, following written procedures (SOPs), monitoring equipment and processes, performing basic laboratory tasks, and conducting routine sanitization tasks to maintain the facility and equipment. Technicians are expected to attain a basic understanding of cGMP compliance while training under close supervision and demonstrating aseptic technique in handling products and materials.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate equipment, and monitor production processes, including clean-in-place (CIP) and steam-in-place (SIP) operations.
• Report production in written and electronic documents in accordance with good manufacturing practices (GMPs) and good documentation procedures (GDPs).
• Review documentation as appropriate.
• Attain qualification for all assigned tasks and maintain an individual training plan.
• Perform basic laboratory tasks, such as monitoring pH, conductivity, and testing product samples.
• Perform material movements, transferring raw materials and chemicals into, out of, and across the production areas.
• Maintain facility and equipment through routine cleaning and sanitization, supporting 6S programs.
• Attend shift exchanges, meetings, send/receive emails, participate in projects, and perform other administrative duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred area of study: Science-related discipline.
• 0-3 years of experience; some prior experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred.
• Basic laboratory skills, including monitoring pH, conductivity, and sampling.
• AS/BS degree is preferred.

Work Environment

You will work 12 hour shifts, 3 days on, 4 days off, 4 days on, 3 days off

7PM-6AM OR 6AM-7PM; MUST be open to both schedules

The role is within a large, well-known company. The work environment involves working in a laboratory and manufacturing setting under cGMP conditions. The technician will handle equipment and materials with aseptic techniques and perform routine cleaning and sanitization tasks to maintain the facility and equipment. This position requires attending shift exchanges and participating in meetings and projects.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.50/hr.
