Job Title: CAD Drafter / Engineering Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a CAD Drafter or Engineering Technician to support a 12-18 month project focused on updating legacy CAD files and drawing packages for sheet metal parts. The successful candidate will work on-site to measure parts, inspect first articles from new suppliers, and consolidate various legacy CAD software into Creo.
Responsibilities
- Update legacy CAD files and drawing packages for sheet metal parts.
- Measure parts and inspect first articles from new suppliers using precision measurement tools such as calipers and gauges.
- Consolidate legacy CAD software (Pro/E, SolidEdge, AutoCAD, etc.) into Creo.
- Collaborate with offshored CAD modeling resources.
- Work closely with procurement, materials, and engineering managers.
Essential Skills
- Experience with CAD drafting in both 2D and 3D.
- Proficiency in using precision measurement tools such as calipers and gauges.
- Familiarity with CAD software including Creo, SolidWorks, and Catia.
- Ability to interpret weld callouts and manufacturing engineering specifications.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with welding callouts and specifying welds is a plus.
- Some skills can be trained during the project.
Work Environment
This role is based on-site at Fluke Park with an approximate schedule of 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, offering some flexibility. Minimal travel to the American Fork, Utah facility may be required.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
