We are seeking a talented Drafter / Designer with expertise in 2D and 3D design. The ideal candidate will have experience with AutoCAD drafting, CNC machining, and the ability to collaborate effectively with warehouse staff. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, the ability to switch tasks quickly, and an aptitude for troubleshooting. You must also be able to visualize and understand how components will come together in a 3D space.

Responsibilities

• Create 2D and 3D designs using AutoCAD.
• Perform AutoCAD drafting and CNC machining tasks.
• Collaborate with warehouse staff to organize and execute projects.
• Develop and troubleshoot 3D models.
• Switch tasks and pivot as necessary to solve problems.
• Visualize and understand how components will come together in 3D.
• Create information packets for molds, including specifications for size and finished product placement.
• Address and resolve misunderstandings effectively.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D and 3D 2025 (elevations, building).
• Ability to work and visualize in 3D.
• Mechanical parts and products background, with experience in custom manufacturing.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with CNC machining.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to ask questions and learn quickly.

Work Environment

You will work primarily solo, with initial training provided until the current trainer leaves. The role involves collaboration with plant operators on the floor and may require some interaction with clients. The work environment is relaxed and values mutual respect, offering autonomy and the opportunity to learn across various tasks. You will not be confined to the same tasks daily, allowing for a diverse and engaging work experience.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
