Job Title: Category Manager - Plastics

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Category Manager to support and manage the Plastics category. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in plastics injection molding, extrusion, and resins, and will be adept at developing sourcing strategies, creating supplier relationships, and negotiating contracts. This role offers the opportunity to work in the medical devices industry, with a hybrid or remote work environment, and a preference for on-site presence in Denver three days a week.

Responsibilities

• Support and manage the Plastics category.
• Develop sourcing strategies for plastics materials.
• Create and maintain strong supplier relationships.
• Negotiate contracts and manage supplier selection.
• Influence executives and stakeholders to achieve category goals.
• Oversee RFI/RFP processes.
• Manage a spend of 30 million in the plastics category.
• Work effectively within a global company environment.

Essential Skills

• 3 years of experience in Category Management.
• Experience with plastics injection molding, extrusion, and resins.
• Proven ability to develop sourcing strategies.
• Strong supplier relationship management skills.
• Experience in contract negotiation.
• RFI/RFP process management.
• Experience working in a global company.
• Ability to influence executives and stakeholders.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience managing a spend of 30 million.
• Experience in a growing company is a plus.
• Ability to transition into the medical devices industry.

Work Environment

The work environment can be hybrid or remote, with a preference for on-site presence in Denver three days a week. The role involves working with suppliers in the plastics industry and managing various procurement processes. The position offers the opportunity to work in the medical devices sector.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $99000.00 - $140000.00/yr.
