Job Title: Medical Assistant - Bridgewater

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and proactive Medical Assistant to join our rheumatology office in Bridgewater. This role involves providing comprehensive patient care, assisting providers with office procedures, and maintaining accurate patient records. The ideal candidate will have experience in medical assisting, particularly in a rheumatology or outpatient setting, and be skilled in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient intakes and load patients into rooms
• Perform vital checks and room patients
• Assist providers in patient care and office procedures
• Set up and break down for office procedures
• Update inboxes and scan documents for EMR
• Update patient charts for medications
• Restock rooms and supply closets, complete inventory
• Triage phone calls for physicians and patients
• Update patient records and input orders
• Maintain and update electronic medical records using Athena

Essential Skills

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
• Experience in patient care
• Injection experience
• At least 1 year of medical assistant experience
• Proficiency in using EMR systems, preferably Athena or Epic

Work Environment

The position requires a 40-hour workweek from Monday to Friday. The schedule is as follows: Monday from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm, Tuesday and Wednesday from 7:30 am to 4:45 pm, Thursday from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm, and Friday from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. The role may require floating to the Berkeley Heights office. The office environment is friendly and supportive, with a team of dedicated MAs and PSRs. You will see around 50-60 patients per MA, slightly less at this location.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $24.00/hr.
