Description
• Perform rooming, clinical procedures, immunizations, venipuncture, and point-of-care testing.
• Document clinical calls, patient info, and orders accurately.
• Address patient messages promptly.
• Embrace wellness, prevention, and chronic disease management.
• Participate in pre-visit planning and daily huddles to close care gaps.
• Understand and follow the preventative medicine schedule, including wellness checks, vitals, labs, immunizations, and patient education.
• Collaborate with behavioral health, nursing, social workers, and community health workers.
• Communicate with providers about patient care.
• Provide community resources and educate patients on wellness and chronic disease management.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
• Completed a recognized healthcare program.
• Preferably has clinical experience in physician practices.
• Practical experience can substitute formal education.
• Must be a certified medical assistant.
• Maintain certification as RMA or CMA.
• CPR certification required.
• Skilled in clerical and front office tasks.
• Quick decision-making abilities.
• Familiar with EMR, practice management software, and medical coding/billing.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00/hr.
